Fly away let's fly let's fly away...
A long journey around the Globe

After a long long long flight I arrived in Singapore yesterday morning at 5.30 am.
Singapore Airlines is just great! If u have to take a flight and have a chance to choose SIAirlines, then take it! Service is just amazing. The most friendly crew members. I felt like a first class passenger. I got even offered a "Singapore Sling" for free. And it tasted really really tasty. But I sould not have taken all the wine afterwards...
Well, after I've left the plane and went through the usual immigration procedures I changed some money and jumped into a cab. Rain was coming down like mad. But I was lucky, because this cooled the city off a little. By noontime, temperature was back up to about 30 degrees and humidity to about 90%.
STICKY! I hate it. Everything sticks to your body. Yacks.
After a stroll through Marina Bay I went back to my colleagues appartment for a power nap. In the evening we went out with a former business partner for dinner. Seafood! Lovin' it!
So, today I finally arrived in Taiwan. Taipei exactly. Susanne from the Childrens Home in Taitung picked me up at the Airport. Lucky me. I would get lost here. Everything is written in Mandarin. But thanks to Mr. Steve Jobs I maybe be better off regarding Mandarin. I've downloaded a little App that has all the usually used phrases in writung and you can also play them over Iphones internal speakers! What a great phone I have! ;-)
Tommorrow I will take the train (alone!) to the South to Taitung. The City is on the East Side of the Island right on the Pacific. The train ride is about 5h and supposedly spectacular! I will post some pics hopefully tommorrow. If I get lost, this will be my last entry and no pics will be shown here...
So, pray for me so I make it down there ok. ;-)
